Customs, Duties & Postal Services
Orders shipped to Germany may be subject to import VAT, customs duties and/or handling fees, according to German regulations.
Most of our products are priced at a level that helps minimize the risk of high customs charges, but we cannot guarantee that your order will not be taxed.
Customs decisions are made exclusively by the German customs authorities (Zoll) and/or the local postal service/carrier.
In some cases, the tracking status may show messages related to customs or tax issues. This usually means that:
- The parcel is being checked by German customs; and/or
- Import VAT, customs duties or handling fees may need to be paid before delivery.
If your order is held by customs or appears with a status related to tax/customs issues, please:
- Carefully follow the tracking information;
- Read any notification received from Deutsche Post / DHL or the indicated carrier;
- If you have doubts, contact us so we can support you and try to minimize any impact , whenever possible.
However, if the payment of import VAT, customs duties or handling fees is mandatory and cannot be avoided, these costs will be the sole responsibility of the final consumer (the customer).
We recommend that you continue to monitor the delivery status through our tracking tool.
Once the parcel is released by customs, we will request priority handling from the carrier whenever possible.
